  宇舶表设计奖(HublotDesign Prize)于今年上半年由知名瑞士奢侈名表品牌宇舶表( Hublot)公司推出。该品牌始终将设计视作其身份中不可或缺的一部分,并注重创新及新材料的探索。该奖项面向40岁以下的青年设计师,同时也是为了纪念品牌标志性的大爆炸(BigBang)系列腕表问世10周年。颁奖典礼在东京设计周(Tokyo Design Week) 开幕典礼之际举行。

  获奖名单于10月27日在东京木场公园(Kiba Park)内的东京都现代美术馆(Museum of Contemporary Art)中揭晓。在最初的25名参评者中评选出5名决赛入围者,并已于6月在米兰公布入围者名单。由Pierre Keller领衔的知名评审团中还包括Lapo Elkann,RonanBouroullec,PeterZec,以及卫星展(SaloneSatellite)策展人、总监Marva Griffin Wilshire 。评审团向瑞士设计工作室BIG-GAME和挪威的Daniel Rybakken颁发了并列一等奖,以表彰前者的团队合作精神以及后者在照明方面的原创极简主义手法。他们分别赢得5万瑞士法郎奖金。来自冰岛的Brynjar Sigurdarson荣获二等奖,赢得奖金1万瑞士法郎。

  由Augustin Scott de Martinville,Grégoire Jeanmonod和Elric Petit组成的设计工作室BIG-GAME 参加了2005年和2006年的卫星展

  (SaloneSatellite),分别带来由胶合板制成的狩猎战利品系列―Animals(动物)‖和羊毛地毯―Flatpack‖。这两个系列后来分别由Moustache和Galerie kreo生产。为纪念卫星展(SaloneSatellite)举办15周年,展览曾邀请15名设计师以―设计<->技术(Design<->Technology)‖为主题进行了装置创作,他们也是受邀设计者。

  DanielRybakken参加了2009年的卫星展(SaloneSatellite),并获得由德国杂志《设计报告(design report)》为展览最具创新性的新人颁发的第十届设计报告奖(10thDesign Report Award)。他还曾受邀于2010年参加―50+50——设计未来(Designingthe Future)‖, 并于2011年参与―日光装置(DaylightInstallation)‖的创作。在卫星展(SaloneSatellite)上展出的作品之中,以下作品最终投入生产:他的―色彩(Colour)‖台灯由写意生活( Ligne Roset)和e15生产;―直角镜(Right Angle Mirror)‖由Galerie Kreo生产;―抗衡( Counterbalance)‖台灯由Luceplan生产并荣获2014年―金罗盘‖设计奖(Golden Compass Award 2014)。

  SaloneSatellitescores at the Hublot Design Prize

  Thefirst edition of the Hublot Prize, awarded by the famous Swiss luxury watchbrand, saw two joint winners, both designers whose careers began withSaloneSatellite. The awards ceremony was held at Tokyo Design Week in October.

  The Hublot DesignPrize was launched earlierthis year by the renowned Swiss company Hublot, a luxury watch brand, which hasalways seen design as an integral part of its own identity, along withinnovation and a quest for new materials. The award, marking the 10th anniversary of the iconic Big Bang model, is for a youngdesigner under the age of 40. The award ceremony took place against thebackground of the inauguration ceremony for Tokyo Design Week.

  The winners were announced on 27th October at MOT – Museum of Contemporary Art in Tokyo’sKiba Park. The original 25 contenders were whittled down to 5 finalists, whosenames were announced in Milan in June. A prestigiousjury led by Pierre Keller and composed of Lapo Elkann, Ronan Bouroullec, PeterZec and Marva Griffin Wilshire, founder and curator of SaloneSatellite, awarded the joint first prize ofCHF 50,000 each – to the Swiss design studio BIG-GAME for their team spirit and to Norway’s DanielRybakken for his originalminimalist approach to illumination. The runner-up, Iceland’s BrynjarSigurdarson, came away with CHF 10,000.

  The design studio BIG-GAME, composed of Augustin Scott deMartinville, Grégoire Jeanmonod and Elric Petit, took part in SaloneSatellitein 2005and 2006with Animals, aseries of hunting trophies made of plywood and Flatpack, a wool rug, laterproduced by Moustache and Galerie kreo respectively. They were among the 15designers invited by SaloneSatellite to come up with an installation on thetheme of “Design<->Technology” to mark the 15th anniversary of the event.

  DanielRybakken took part in the 2009edition of SaloneSatellite, winning the 10th DesignReport Award for the most creativenewcomer at the event, given by the German magazine design report. He was invited to take part in 50+50 –Designing the Future in 2010 and in 2011, with Daylight Installation.

  Of the products presented atSaloneSatellite, the following went into production: his Colour lamp, LigneRoset, then e15; his Right Angle Mirror, Galerie kreo, and his Counterbalancelamp, Luceplan, Golden Compass Award 2014.

  Japanese designer Keiji Ashizawa – who also took part in SaloneSatellite, in 2008 and 2010 – was chosen to design the backdrop forthe award ceremony, for his ―honest design‖ and his simple yet sophisticated,beautiful and accessible approach.
