  中国家具生产及使用的历史悠久，早在新石器时代就出现了形式上的家具，随着朝代变更，加工工艺和加工材料都不断得到改进及更新。到明清时期，已经到达中国传统家具的鼎盛时期。各种名贵木材和榫卯结构等都得到普遍应用。

The production and the use of China furniture have a long history. Early in the Neolithic Age, there were formal furniture. With the changes of ages, both processing craft and processing materials were improved constantly. Until Ming and Qing Dynasty, they reached a period of great prosperity. All kinds of rare wood and tenon and mortise structure were widely used.

We are come from Shunde Foshan Guangdong Province in China. There is the hometown of dragon boat races and international super star-Bruce Lee. Since the reform and opening-up policy Shunde people take advantage of the unique geographical condition and spirit of unity and pioneer. We are broadening markets. Nowadays, Shunde has expanded many pillar industries including home appliance, furniture, flowering, equipment manufacturing and textile.

  20世纪70年代末开始，随着改革开放的到来，顺德龙江镇迎来了家具产业发展的一次创业时机。第一代龙江家具人通过和港澳亲友的来往，接触到很多外界的新资讯。看准家具的社会需求。主要以简单的个体经营的方式生产和销售早期较简单的家具产品。

Since the late of 1970s, with the reform and opening-up, Longjaing Shunde got an enterprising opportunity of development of furniture industry. The first generation of Longjiang furniture contacted with much new information by communicated with their relatives from Hong Kong and Macao. They caught the social needs of furniture, mainly producing furniture by individual operation and selling simple furniture in early days.

  经过一定时间的经验积累、开始扩大厂房，购置设备，一步一个脚印地进行这艰辛的创业创举。根据当时政策，龙江政府方面也给予家具从业人员较充分的发展空间，并在相当程度上促进了龙江家具行业的早期发展。

  随着部分企业主有了一定资金和经验的原始积累，以及板式拆装家具的潮流，部分企业开始加大各类设备的引进，龙江家具制造业由机械化取代了原始手工作坊和半机械化的制作。在品种款式上和材料使用上，又更上了一个层次，不仅满足了国内用户的需要，同时也开始对外出口，随着部分企业实力规模的不断壮大。开始涌现出一批国内知名品牌。直到90年代中期，龙江镇生产的家具已经占到国内市场近半份额。目前龙江已经获得“中国家具制造重镇”、“中国家具材料之都”、“中国家具电子商务之都”等国家级荣誉。

  由于龙江家具的发展带动，加快了推动和家具相关的上下游产业的跟进速度。目前，龙江镇及其周边地区，已经发展成全国涵盖家具设计、材料、生产、展览、销售、物流、及综合保障一体最为完善的家居产业链。

Owing to the development of Longjiang furniture, it accelerated the follow-up rate of upstream as well as downstream industries related to furniture. Now, it has already turned into the most sophisticated industrial chain of home furnishing, which covers furniture design, raw materials, production, exhibition, sales, logistics and integrated support.

  过去二三十年间，广东顺德家具产业取得了令人瞩目的辉煌成就。为了打造“顺德家具”的集群品牌倡导品牌联动效应及整体性，体现品牌联盟互动多赢，在顺德众多优秀家具企业的倡议下。由顺德知名家具品牌企业组成顺德家具品牌联盟（以下简称联盟）它代表顺德家具整体水平和形象。通过结盟方式带动顺德家具企业有计划，有组织系统化的拓展市场。同时配合政府相关部门推进节能减排，污染整治等相关工作。推进顺德家具行业的良性健康发展。
